This leather, plaid & velvet outfit was inspired by this plaid shirt finally fitting me again! I found it in a thrift store in Edinburgh several years back when I was there with my now husband. Then I gained weight. I hung onto it for sentimental reasons & now it fits again!

I bought the leather jacket in a Germany TKMaxx, while I was staying with an old friend on a separate leg of that same trip. It also fits again! It’s a little more moto style, which happens to be a trend right now.

I wore it with a long straight velvet skirt I found at the bins. (Another trend alert: long skirts) And added my YSL knock-off pearl accent boots. Both also worn here – they work well together!

I know I’m not following the rule of thirds lol, but I still really like how this looks. I dig a slightly off kilter look sometimes.
